Look under Documents\CakeTalking 8.8 for Sonar 8.5\Setup\
In there, you'll find documents detailing which settings to check or change in Windows 7, how to install and patch sonar up to the correct version, how to install CakeTalking etc. The documents are numbered sequencially so start with
WelcomeToCakeTalking8.8.rtf
then
1SettingsWindows7.rtf
then
2ConfigureSonar.rtf
etc.

Did you mean F9 & F10? Additionally, I think you have to install all 3 patches. Hope this is helpful.

Subject: [ddots-l] Trouble with new installation

Trouble with new installation on Win7 machine.
I am retiring my old xp machine, 12 years old, has done a great job but it is time.
I have everything installed, Sonar 8.5 patch 3 along with caketalking.
Here is the first problem I have encountered.
When I use the f8 and f9 to select a section of an audio track, and using control enter, unable to use such things as copy delete and so on.
However, if I do an alt enter select all, everything works.
Also it is constantly screamming for me to press f6.
I have already deleted everything and started and completed the second installation.
No change.
Most likely, this is just the begining of my headaches.
Do these things ever go without a hitch without a huge battle?
Thanks hope you all can help.
Mark
