One feels that one must stress, that it is in fact Original English, British through and through, One is starting to believe That the names may have been taken away purely to make the note lengths less complicated for other Countries ha ha.Steve W----- Original Message ----- From: "Annabelle Susan Morison" <foristnights@xxxxxxxxxxx>To: <ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, April 21, 2010 1:47 PMSubject: [ddots-l] Re: a question, the function shift plus page down not workingEnglish? I'll stick to the USA way of numbers/fractions, look at 128th note, that's a long word to pronounce! Double whole note (breve) . Whole note (semibreve) . Half note (minim) . Quarter note (crotchet) . Eighth note (quaver) . Sixteenth note (semiquaver) . Thirty-second note (demisemiquaver) . Sixty-fourth note (hemidemisemiquaver) . Hundred twenty-eighth note (semihemidemisemiquaver) I foolishly thought these names were recognised all over the World? Can I assume a quaver is a half note? Hope this helps. Or how about some of those unusual meters, like 5/4, 7/4, and 7/8? ________________________________ From: ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Steve Wicketts Sent: Tuesday, April 20, 2010 8:18 AM To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ddots-l] Re: a question, the function shift plus page down not working Hi Annabelle, There's another way you can move through Sonar. Each beat is 960 ticks. so have a beat is 480. If say you want 7th bar and you want to be 1 and a half beats in. Simply press F5 three times then type 7.2.480 Now press enter and you are 7 beat 1 and a half beat into your song. I've never been able to move in a project beat-by-beat, but I've been able to go measure-by-measure. Is there really a way to go beat-by-beat? ________________________________ From: ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of blue wings Sent: Tuesday, April 20, 2010 6:35 AM To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ddots-l] a question, the function shift plus page down not working Hi I have a question from my friend, she can't moov in the project for beat.
