O see there you go, another explanation. And yes you could use either a
period or a colon to separate the numbers, they both work.

I'll explain again as rushed the last email.
 
here's another way you can move through Sonar. 
Each beat is 960 ticks. so half a beat is 480 ticks and a quarter of a beat
is 240 ticks.
If say you want to be on the 7th bar and 1 and a half beats in to that bar.
Simply press F5 three times then type 7.2.480
7 being the Bar, 2 taking you one beat into the 7th bar,  and 480 ticks
adding the extra half a beat.
Now press enter and you are 7 bars 1 and a half beats into your song.

Are you talking about in Sonar? I've never been able to move in a project
beat-by-beat, but I've been able to go measure-by-measure. Is there really a
way to go beat-by-beat?
