Stacey:
Well, to be honest with you, I don't use that. I have several freeware distortion plug-ins that I really like. Go to www.hitsquad.com
They have a huge selection of freeware plug-ins of all kinds there.

Thanks for the tip Gord, as you know I wasnt' able to get anywhere with the CW amp syn automation. Can you give me a little more detail or point me in the right direction. I am assuming you are talking about the alien connection soft synth? I can't get anything out of it.

Any ideas?

what I have going is the Syn 2 soft synth and I would like it to transition from dry to distorted over the span of 8 bars.

Thanks!

Stacy

You wouldn't be able to do that with the amp sim because that is a very old plug that is not automatable. You would need to get another amp simulator like alien connections or something.

Is it possible to fade an effect in or out of a portion of a given track?

For example,if I have a track with clean guitar and use the distortion amp sym effect, is it possible to slect part of the track and have the effect build from dry to as wet as it can get?

I want the distortion to build from clean to dirty (if that makes sense).

Thanks.
