It sounds like your control surface settings for the bcf 2000 are not right.
Make sure the midi in and out settings of the mackie control are set to bcf
2000.

  Subject: [ddots-l] bcf 2000 question

      Hello,
This morning I was trying to plug in my midi cables to my bcf 2000 and I
think while trying to feel to plug in, I accidentally hit a button and here is
what is happening. I have a softsynth loaded, and when I play on the keyboard,
I am not getting any sound but when I happened to touch the faders on the
control surface, I am getting the soft synth sounds coming from the faders.
Has anybody had this problem before and what did you do if so to fix it? I'm
thinking putting it back to factory defaults but I don't know how to do that.
Does anyone know how to set the unit back to factory defaults? Thanks for any
help you can give me regarding this issue,
  Brian
