Have you uninstalled CT and tried the Sonar install after that?

I tried reinstalling direct x and it says I have the latest version. Logged
in as admin, no uninstalls went bad in recent memory that I can think of.

Do you have the latest direct x updates? I'm asuming you are using xp? If you
can get to reinstall the update for direct x 9.0c or something later, if it is
an issue with directX, it should get fixed like that. Are you running as an
admin? If anything try using the run as option under the context menu for the
update file. Also, make sure that your folder permisions are set correctly.
This could be a registry issue, but I don't really think so; that would be the
last place to look for me. Have you had any installations/uninstallations go
wrong or abort half way or something of that nature?

  OH, man, what a mess.

I go to install cakewalk sonar pe 8.3 and get an error the regsvr32 can't
register the fxchorus.ax plugin. I have even stumped cakewalk technical
support, who think it is a direct x error. I have run two registry scans from
two different programs but can't get this installed. I also get an error from
z3ta about a resource folder not being found. Does anybody have any ideas? I
don't want to restore this computer from the original image, but at the same
time, I want to be able to install sonar again. The exact error, if I can
remember it right has the code 0x3 in it from regsvr32.exe. I've looked this
error up on google with no real luck. Somebody had it with sonar 8.0.1 in the
sonar forums, but it was never discussed on how it was fixed. I really could
use the help. Plan on calling ADK today to see if they have any ideas as it is
an ADK computer, but I have doubts that they'll know much about this. Does
anybody else know or should I restore to the original image and reinstall all
my plugins again.
