As far as I know, they are literally pictures of the wav files as they appear
in the piano scroll...

In other words, junk!

  Hi Phil,

I trust all's well with you.

I've got a question; Just what is this picture cash folder anyway? I've got
almost 2000 files in there; when I scrolled through it to see what sorts of
files I had, they were various extensions, but they were names of past projects
I had since moved to a storage drive. Many of them represented edits and
recordings of tracks and so forth. I didn't dare delete them because I didn't
know what I might do to mess up projects.

  Take care.

  Mike

Open up the picture Cash folder in Windows Explorer and press control A to
highlight everything then, Shift Delete to get rid of everything. Also, James
is correct. You should periodically use the clean audio folder to clean out
deleted audio that you have used in projects.
