Hey Terry. Happy to help out if I can :-) that's great that you are getting
sound through your speakers on the keyboard. In order to record using your
keyboard you will also have to hook up some jack leads from your keyboard to
your audio interface and record the audio outputs from the keyboard as well as
the MIDI into Sonar.

when I press record in sonar and try to play it back, it says the
track is not recorded. I may not have done something properly in sonar
to activate the midi, I'm not sure, I can hear what bank patch and
channel I'm using, it does tell me that, but I can't capture any
sound. I truly appreciate all of your advice, and your patients with
