Hello Graham, I've been curious about this too as I have been transcribing a lot of bebop melodies lately. I just did some poking around, found the answer in the Sibelius hotkeys file included with sibelius speaking. (Note, the information about inputting symbols in the sibelius help file seems to be inaccurate, at least with respect to the designated short-cut.) Select the note in question and press F10. This pulls up a dialogue in which you can select various symbols including mordents, turns, and inverted turns. Each symbol is described so that it is clear you are getting what you want. The turns don't seem to be realized in the Sibelius playback, but you can tab to them in the score to confirm that they are there. I hope this helps, Bill S. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
