Phil,

Just to clarify, this doesn't replace a dongle, but rather allows one to copy
that folder back to the hard drive to restore the activation?

Is it also true that if the hardware does change, then this idea will not work?

Dave

No however, once everything's working as advertised then, you can copy you're
activator folder on to a backup drive. You will find that in you're:

  C:\Program Files\Freedom Scientific\

  Folder.

  Just curious...

Couldn't one just copy the authorization/activate files onto a flash drive
when JAWS is working correctly, and insert that drive prior to or after running
the Tranzport?

It would be cool if it was that simple, but I'm sure most likely it probably
won't be...

  Anyway, was just wondering.

It is a small usb device that has your jaws authorization imprinted on it
so you can plug it into your computer and not worry about losing your
authorizations. I use one on my main daw with no problem and FS will sell you
one fairly cheaply.

Oh boy, you may need to use a dongle if you plan to only use your
tranzport occasionally.

          Hello,
I just downloaded and installed the drivers for tranzport control
survace. When I plugged in the unit and turned it on, I got an error 6 message
from jaws which put me in demo mode. What do I do to fix this? Thanks,
          Brian
