If you are using CakeTalking, hold down CONTROL AND SHIFT while you pres the
letter A twice quickly. You will hear a report of which tracks are
currently armed.

I think You have to set it so you have to arm the Midi track to record on
it, then, when he's playing, arme both, the vocle track, and the piano
track?
