You can back translate the grade two dxb document into a dxp and then apply
the grade 1 translation code; however, you may wish to reproof the document
so that you can correct any back translation errors.

Sometimes, it pays to have a good DXP file around.

Subject: [duxuser] Question about translating

Crazy question but: if you already have a grade 2 document and all of a
sudden find that you need to have it in uncontracted braille, ... can that
be done? I know how to do it if I have a dxp document but wasn't sure if it
was already a dxb.

Thanks,

Deb B.
