If the files are genuine SGML, its easy to convert them to XML, then to some tagset that Joe can import easily. Perhaps you could mail me a test file, I'll do a transform and send it back? Joe (S), what XML tagset is currently supported on 10.3 please? I don't think DAISY came in till 10.4 did it? Either way, HTML would come in to dux 10.3 easily enough? HTH DaveP We are having A LOT of problems importing textbooks from the APH File Repository into Duxbury 10.3. The files are in SGML/ICADD format which is supposed to "enable the preparation of texts for near-automatic conversion to Grade 2 Braille" <ROFL>. The conversion is anything but near-automatic. Many tags are translated to non-existent Duxbury style codes, and basically the formatting is a mess. I've had to do extensive search and replaces to get them to resemble anything anyone would want to read in braille. Does anybody out there have any experience with these files? Any suggestions? Are we missing something?
