I think Warren hit the nail on the head. We have downloaded 4 different
files recently, and gotten 4 different tag lists, and three separate file
formats (even though all 4 books were in the same literature series). Two of
the files were identified by duxbury as SMGL/ICADD files, one imported as a
text file, and the other as a Word Document. The Word document contained
bold & italic text, though it did not use any styles, and had a lot of "&"
codes. The others had SMGL style tags, but were anything but standard, some
imported into duxbury styles, others turned into unrecognized tags. I've
managed to get tolerable braille from them by writing Word macros and doing
search & replace in Duxbury, but it is FAR FAR From "automatic". Apparently
it's not anything we're doing wrong with Duxbury though, so we'll just have
to deal with it.

Thanks for providing the interesting and enlightening discussion.

Hi,

Is it possible to obtain a URL for, and details of, specific problematical
tagged files?

Alternative, could we please have an example file mailed as an attachment?
( mailto:info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> )

We really do need some live material for testing.

The files in the APH File repository are tagged files and there is no
guarantee that they are genuine anything--XML, HTML, SGML, ICAAD. They are
what the publishers have submitted.
