Susie, are the headings you want for your Table of Contents laid out as H1
headings?  Only reason I ask is that one day I did something similar but
mine were centered and there were a couple that were dormatted differently.
Therefore, it didn't work.  Probably no help at all but thought I'd just
mention my experience.  Works great, though, once I figure out what I did.

Hi all. I have put together a document that needs a Table of Contents; I
have marked the headings I want included with [es~h1]. I went through
the dialog under the Layout menu and when I hit okay, I got the centered
heading "contents" and the column headings, but no actual table of
contents. What painfully obvious thing have I missed? Duxbury Help did
not shed any light.
