Hi.  One thing that I've found to work is to select custom instead of the
default layout which is BANA Textbook.  Custom gives you many more options,
and you can make it more to your liking.  Also, for some reason, using the
heading 1 style doesn't include the page numbers.  I was showing a couple
people yesterday how to create a TOC, and I found that after changing all H1
styles except for the document title to H2, and then changing all the
existing H2 styles to H3, things worked great.  I've spent a lot of time
working on TOC's, and I do a lot of test printing, with maybe the first two
or three pages just so that I can see if what I want to happen is actually
happening.  Good luck.
