Hi Paul,
Well, this one stumps me. If you have the scripts for JAWS that were installed
when you installed Duxbury, then, this is something that Duxbury may need to
look at.

Hello Milton. It's not really braille display related. I usually start out with
a print file. When I access the code view the codes and text don't read
correctly.

Hello,
For those who are using a screen Reader with a braille display and it
doesn’[doesn’t matter what screen reader you are using, you need to change the
screen output to computer braille for the screen reader to read the DXB file so
that speech makes sense.
For JAWS users only change this configuration for Duxbury so that it doesn’t
affect any other applications when using the braille display.
If I haven’t made this clear, let
me know and I’ll try again.

Hello Paul, Ann and all,
How do we, or can we know, these problems with JAWS reading DXB are not a
problem for JAWS and not duxbury?
My JAWS won’t read dbt files if I first read something print, email or Word.
If I begin first, reading Duxbury files it reads them OK. When I go back to
print and return to DBT it just says “blank”.
I have thought this was a JAWS problem. It happened even before Windows 10
upgrade.

Hello Londa. Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it didn’t work at
1024X768. JAWS doesn’t speak the codes correctly either.

Hi
Paul,
Are you perchance having trouble reading codes on a Braille display. I had this
problem on my Surface, and the solution seemed to be setting the screen
resolution back to 1024 x 768. It seems to be something with the JAWS scripts.
I did work with Karen from Duxbury on this. I ran the compatibility wizard on
Duxbury so that I didn’t have to keep my resolution that way for everything.
Try changing your resolution first to see if that helps.

Subject: [duxuser] Trouble Reading Codes in the Code View
Hello everybody. I recently got DBT 12.4 SR1 and am having a couple of
problems. First, DBT crashes quite often. Second, when I switch to the codes
view, I don’t get the correct codes either in new documents that I create or in
documents I created with earlier versions of DBT. Duxbury Systems is closed
today. Have any of you had this happen? If so, how did you resolve the problem?
Thanks so much.
I hope you’re having a good day.
Paul
