The dot 4-6's are underscore characters which someone typed on the form. If they had been put in in a different way, DBT would not have detected them. When I was doing braille transcription, I used F6 to replace four underscores with one hyphen, then went through and cleaned up the stray underscores and trimmed the blanks so that there were four hyphens at each field.
