Betsey, In word there is a way to use wild cards in the search and replace dialogue to replace the underscores with whatever will generate the desired output. You can even replace them with the phrase "space provided" or even "blank" but I will need to look up that hint Wednesday. Merci! Change the underscores in your original document to hyphens, or wait until you get the file into DBT and use the find and replace to replace each 4 or 5 underscores with a hyphen. You'll probably have to do some cleanup if you have stray hyphens around, but it's the only way I know to solve it. It's not a DBT change. Another thing that I've seen popping up a lot is people using the period instead of a dash to separate parts of a phone number. Just a headsup. It now uses dots 46, which I assume conforms to some standard ore other. I always prefer dots 36. Can this change be made? Thanks. Dean
