Thanks. You were right on the money. I changed the setting in the Thomas settings menu to turn escape sequences on and it fixed the problem. At least the single test page came out correctly. I'm confident it will stay fixed.

In 10.5, I think DBT assumes that your embosser has been adjusted to accept escape sequences to control its setup parameters from the PC. So if "recognize escape sequences" is set to Off on your embosser, you might get these results as DBT resets the embosser to a known state at the beginning of the document.
