(was
question
about
asterisk)
Braille
really
doesn't
have
enough
bullet
symbols.
I
use
the
asterisk
as
the
primary
symbol.
If
I
need
additional
bullet
symbols
for
the
same
document
I
switch
to
hyphens.
Sometimes
the
translator
will
produce
other
symbols
but
they
are
not
as
easily
or
quickly
recognizable
by
a
Braille
reader.
Common
sense
should
also
be
used
to
determine
if
bullets
are
truly
necessary.
Braille
as
we
all
know
is
a
one-color,
one-size
format.
The
purpose
of
bullets
is
never
docorative.
The
purpose
is
to
highlight
something
that
the
document
is
emphasizing.
A
secondary
purpose
is
to
show
that
a
new
piece
of
information
is
beginning.
If
material
needs
to
be
truly
separated,
a
combination
of
blank
lines
and
tabs
may
serve
this
purpose
better
than
bullets.
The
ultimate
point
is
to
make
material
findable
easily
and
quickly
by
a
person
reading
tactually.
