I did take the instructor class. I think that the advantage was that I was forced to do my homework on time and if I had problems that there was direct feedback once a week. I for one had an easier time phrasing my question through talking rather than keying it in. The slight disadvantage is, however, that not everyone is at the same level even with weekly assignments due. I've followed the discussion on the Duxbury course and agree that it is worth the $100. I've used Duxbury for years and find now that I'm more productive and understand the tools that are available to help me. Just my observation. This discussion has been very interesting. Everything that I have seen relates to the online classes self study method. I would also like to know about the online classes that are Instructor led. Thanks. Are you taking the self-paced class or the instructor led class? I'd like to get a reply or two from someone who either is or has taken the instructor led class so I can compare my options and choose the right one for me. Thanks in advance. Concerning graphics for a totally blind user. It's handled very well. We can't create graphics, but you will learn how to place existing graphics files into your document, how to position them and how to change the dot resolution as needed. Sighted people don't create graphics in the course either. There is a separate program for that which is not Jaws accessible. It's worth every penny in my mind. I'm on lesson 11 now and I'm feeling much more comfortable with DBT now. Like Sandra, I wouldn't have picked this stuff up just by reading the help documentation. Hey, you'll also learn how to use the help files more effectively, and hey, I actually understand what I read in them now. Smile.
