[duxuser] six-key entry

I have a suggestion for Duxbury. I know it couldn't happen for 10.6, but
here goes.
I have discovered that my keyboard is not able to produce six-key entry.
I've done some Googling around and read that new keyboards are not designed
to support this feature, and that it is reliant on old IBM keyboard
standards. Some websites suggest ways of testing keyboards for this
functionality, and suggest shoppping second-hand, etc. I read that over
half of keyboards do not support six-key entry.
But DBT is a program for modern braille production. I know the thinking for
six-key entry is good and it's valuable, but it's also dependent on old
keyboards and the hopes that companies might keep old technology in
production, etc.
So, why doesn't Duxbury design a simple USB keypad for braille entry? Six
keys, the spacebar, maybe a backspace key? Nothing fancy. No display, just
the keys for inputting the braille.
