Hello Anne and all.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

After doing some digging, I think I know the source of the problem. Early in the history of DBT 11.2, there was a problem in the JAWS script files that caused a crash when JAWS tried to read the OK box after a find and replace operation. That sounds like what you are experiencing. This problem is fixed in DBT 11.2 SR4. If you are running an earlier release of DBT 11.2, I recommend using DBT's Check for Updates option, which should install DBT 11.2 SR4. After the installation, DBT will prompt you about installing new JAWS script files. Answer yes.

I hope that this fixes the problem.

If you need further help, please contact me off list.

All the best,

Caryn

At the beginning of this thread you said you were running DBT 11.2. Does that version even support Windows 10, or should you update to 12.1?

Hi Ann,

I have a feeling in my water that you may need to do some JAWS related work.

The NVDA suggestion is a good one to try.

Hopefully someone from Duxbury will chip in here.

George

When I installed DTB on the windows 10 computer, with jaws 17 running, this problem started. New windows 10 computer, new DBT program and new jaws 17 programs installation at the same time.

Hi Ann,

Is this something which has started recently? Perhaps after a Windows or JAWS upgrade?

I’m running DB@ 11.2 and windows 10, and I notice that when I do any search and replace activities, DBT crashes at the end of the sequence. I’mnot sure if it is DBT crashing or JAWS 17. I just know that everything freezes and I have to do a hard shutdown. This is happening consistently.
