Thank you, John. Kind of you to help. What I’ve since learned is my PC with W7
is too awkward to get it talking to me. So I either buy a new laptop with W11
and use it’s Magnified to get the computer to read out Word text, or I get W11
installed on my current laptop. I think I’ll try the latter first because i
already have Word on my computer and I’d have to buy/rent it on a new laptop.

screen brightness.
2. Can you control the light around you?
3. The use of the magnifier app will make everything on the top of MS word

That shortcut is supposed to increase the font size by 1 point. If it
works, then keep repeating the keystroke until a sufficiently large size
emerges.
