The results of testing pre-launch daemon (hrev49408 x86_gcc2) boot times
against the most current revision (hrev49591 x86_gcc2) did yield boot
times that were about 2 or 3 seconds faster. I got consistent boot times
of 18 -19 seconds, compared to 21 - 22. For whatever reason, 64 bit boots
faster than either of these. Out of curiosity, I'll try a comparison of 64
bit boot times tomorrow.
