#7242: WebPositive unusable on slow internet connections ----------------------------------------+---------------------------- Reporter: bbjimmy | Owner: leavengood Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Applications/WebPositive | Version: R1/Development Resolution: | Keywords: Blocked By: | Blocking: Has a Patch: 0 | Platform: All ----------------------------------------+---------------------------- Comment (by bbjimmy): Using hrevr1alpha4-4458 on a faster connection, WebPositive is now worse than before. It hogs the cpu and locks up the app server while dificult pages are loading, and one cannot scroll on preveously loaded pages until all page loads are complete. This is more of a threading and priority problem than a webkit problem. If I lower the priority of Webpositive's main thread to normal, it plays well with other apps and no longer locks up the system. If I change WebPositve to allow multiple launch and launch all new pages in a new browser, I can use the loaded pages while other ones ( instances of WebPositive ) are loading pages. -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/7242#comment:6> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
