Hello again,
Flipped over to the Web-site this morning and noticed there is a new bar at
the bottom of the web page allowing me to listen to the Hastings Rock Player
stream..... which is the mix of mainly jingles that Nick has been working
on...
Anyway, its fine, there seems to be a stream running now but, as Sarah says,
it's a bit "jerky" no music, just a string of Jingles and Promos....
thought we were adding music into this mix as well... Nick, is this running
through a Playout player? If so, maybe its an idea to set the jingle player
to allow cross fades, might sound better....
Another thought: if its picking random Jingles, then that's going to sound
awful as some of the Jingles we have have an extended bed running at the end
to cater for "donut" type links (Gig Guide etc...)
Simon, is the BIG BLUE Button linking to the Streema stream or a different
one? (Perhaps I shouldn't be asking questions about things I don't
understand... :-) )
All just thoughts and observations....
And finally.... good work everyone! New Studio, new setup, all going very
well so far.... change is never easy!....

Been checking out the test stream. Loads of silence now between clips of
audio..... was that intentional?
I thought it sounded better with clips running close together with no long
pregnant pauses between. Doesn't flow now.

this *isn't* the one going out on the website, it's purely for our internal
consumption and of course will be subject to interruptions as we fiddle
