Attached are the slides I presented in today's IBIS-ATM meeting on what we
would like to see as priority updates to enable single-ended equalization in
IBIS-AMI.
It seems there was a bit of confusion on the terminology of Vref vs. Common
Mode (DC Offset). My intention was:
Vref = The slicer decision voltage reference level
Common Mode = The common mode voltage or DC offset of the
single-ended signal that is lost when differentiating a step response
Perhaps for practical purposes, the Vref and Common Mode are the same voltage
level, but we should be clear in our terminology and how this information will
be used by the EDA tool.
