Absolutely, SSD drives are drastically faster than mechanical drives or hybrid
drives. Some things will be similar if they were stored in the memory portion
/ cache but when you go all SSD it’s optimized and considering there’s no
moving parts they scream as far as speed is concerned.

I have 2 server machines which have 2 1TB hard drives in them and I have 3
other machines with 1TB hard drives plus a 128GB SSD Drive (Fusion drives in
other words)
The machine I’m expecting next week has a 1TB SSD drive so to the obvious
question I guess, should I expect to see any performance gains from a machine
with a dedicated SSD drive over a machine with a Fusion drive?
