I fail to understand the point here.  we've a drive that needs working with, 
when youy set root user you are warned and I agree I probably should have 
mentioned it.  I do not mention it lightly but when necessary and used 
judiciously, it's a useful tool.

As for root, I second everything Loo says, be careful.  When I worked in a Unix 
admin capacity we would always give new admins the speech about using root.
