Good Morning Everyone,

Have any of you had experience with uploading a large number of songs into
iTunes Match? I did discover that there were apparently around 732 songs that
had not been uploaded from my iTunes library. Friday night I turned off my
energy saving preferences so that my iMac would not go to sleep and left my
computer on with iTunes open overnight. When my husband passed my computer
first thing in the morning, he discovered an error message on my screen which
basically said that the connection had been lost. At that point, I still had
584 songs to upload. I had not thought about the fact that my computer was
working wirelessly, so, yesterday afternoon, when I had time to get back to
this project, I again made sure that my energy saving preferences were turned
off, and I plugged in my ethernet cable. That was at about 2:30 in the
afternoon. At 9:00 last night, I returned to my iMac to discover that I still
had 433 songs to go. My computer was extremely hot, perhaps because it hadn't
gone to sleep in all those hours, so I quit iTunes and shut the computer down
overnight. I now have iTunes open again, and iTunes Match is slowly cranking
away. Has anyone had a similar experience with getting iTunes Match all set
up? I am just extremely surprised that it is taking so long! I called Apple
yesterday, and they say everything is fine on their end. Any thoughts from
anyone out there in Mac4theblind land? :)
