I’m probably interested in a bit of programming and to work on my command line
skills. I’m working on getting my GCP associate engineer certification as well
as my sis admin certification from AWS.
If I installed Ubuntu on an SD card for a raspberry pi what do I do to get it
to turn on orca?
Thank you
Chuck

Hi Chuck,
The pi is a very flexible device. You can plugin a USB ultrasound sensor and
make a talking obstacle detector if you like. You can use the pi as a
router, a media player and a host of other things.
What sort of stuff are you interested in? Are you a programmer?
You can get screen readers working on the pi. You can have orca in the GUI
and Fenrir on the console.
You do not need any special hardware to get speech from the newer pis. Do
you have speakers or headphones with a 3.5MM audio jack? USB headphones
will also work and if you have a HDMI monitor with speakers, you could use
that too.
