Wow... That sounds possitively horrible! :-)
I just tried Ubuntu 16.10 Beta, and that's working perfectly. I'm
struggling to find the panels that you used to be able to get with CTRL
+ ALT + TAB, where I'm certain the wireless applet is hiding, but other
than that, it's a lovely piece of code.
F4 is supposed to load Orca at the login screen but that seems to fizzle
and stop pretty quick. Not sure if it'll be the same if and when I
install it.
Cheers for your experiences though, I'm glad Linux is still being used
by some people.

just fine on Debian 32-bit but has no 64-bit version available, and
even on 32-bit installs, I have no idea how to make SBL launch instead
of speakup, and Adriane-X, which depends on Compiz(no longer in Debian
and the version in the Knoppix repositories appears to be broken).
