This morning I had a pretty male Purple Finch at our feeders to go along with the other usual suspects. He was very different from the male House Finches. Last weekend I had a female Purple Finch at the feeders. He was only around for about 15 minutes before flying off, then I left for a few hours, so I don't know if he is still around. This is in the Riverchase subdivision of Hendersonville, in Sumner county.
