The exception I mentioned earlier is Andrew Wiskow's Cottonwood BBS
which is accessible the good, old fashioned way -- with a modem. You
can find out more about the BBS at its website [6] and you can connect
to the BBS by calling 951-242-3593 (300-1200 baud).
Cottonwood is back up to a maximum baud rate of 2400... I've still had
reports of people unable to connect, and I suspect there's an issue with the
modem I'm using now. But, I've got a few new modems on their way to me now,
and *hopefully* that'll take care of all the "issues". Anyway, feel free to
