This is great stuff, Golan.
Last week I logged into Cottonwood with my 300 baud modem, and was stunned
to find that BBSes work. I got the intro menu, but couldn't move beyond
that. It asks you if you're a guest or an approved user, and when you follow
the instructions, then I just got the approved user list over and over.
Maybe the website will allow me to figure out how to move past the initial
stage.

Chris,

When you log in, after the welcome screen, you'll get the following message:

Press <RETURN> if new user.
Others enter their USER #
or phone number with area code.
--==>>951-242-3593<<==--
--==>>

At that point, you just press RETURN (or ENTER), and you'll automatically be taken through the application process. Fill out the application, and you'll be given a user number. As a new user, you'll have limited access, but you'll be validated within 24 hours, and then you'll have full access to all areas of the BBS. If you leave me a feedback on the BBS with your Internet e-mail address, I can even send you an e-mail to let you know when you've been validated.

Hope this helps! If you have any other problems, feel free to send me a private e-mail at wiskow@xxxxxxxxxxxx

-Andrew
