There were 9 birders on this morning's Huntley Meadows Monday Morning Birdwalk,
and we spotted 42 species. With tempreatures in the 50s, a clear sky, and a
calm wind, conditions couldn't be better. Our highlights included a Bald Eagle
gliding overhead at about 100 feet, four Red Headed Woodpeckers, a seemingly
very late Yellow-billed Cuckoo, several Warbler sightings, and a huge raft of
over 300 Common Grackles flying over the Central Wetland.
