The Huntley Meadows Monday Morning Birdwalk drew 18 birders on this cool,
bright day today. We spotted 51 species, with a Yellow Warbler, a Prothonatary
Warbler at its nesting site, and not-at-all-common Willow Flycatcher among the
highlights. My thanks to Tom Miller for standing in for me last week as I
explored birding spots on the Outer Banks. (Looking for Prothonatary Warblers?
Try the Alligator River Wildlife Refuge in Manteo at the Outer Banks. They're
as thick as insects!)
