A crowd of over 25 birders came together for today's Huntley Meadows Monday
Morning Birdwalk. We spotted 42 species on our 2 hour walk. Our highlights
include a group of nearly a dozen Rusty Blackbirds; a Winter Wren in one of the
brushpiles; a large flock of Red-winged Blackbirds; and this walk's first Brown
Creepers. We note that the large brush piles created around the wetland
reconstruction project are attracting a great many birds, and advise Huntley
birders to scan these features carefully on their visits.
