Patty Elton and I visited Dutch Gap this morning and spent a couple of hours
there as the weather was so nice. We were treated to great looks at least two
LEAST BITTERNS, a male and a female. The female appeared to be carrying
nesting material.
Other highlights included an Eastern Kingbird, a great look at a singing adult
male Blue Grosbeak (I spotted a first spring male on the drive in) and an
immature Bald Eagle.
Thanks to Jan Frye and Bruce Richardson for their previous posts and alerts
about the Bitterns
