Hi Fred,
The female is often larger than the male. The 2 sexes make different
sounds so you can tell them apart if they are saying something. The female
does not really sing--at least not in the sense of it sounding musical, like
the male's songs; instead she twitters, chirps, and "grouses" (when she
doesn't like something).
