Yes the problem seems to be with the edit fields but also with reading the
information that the user has to input.

it is the same, then it'll be up to the app developers to make the app more
compatible with VoiceOver, or else it's for Apple to improve the
accessibility of these 'non-standard' picker items or popups - on iOS, anyway.
I've seen this issue - and it probably is a VoiceOver related issue - on
another app that Credit Unions use. In that case, however, the difficulty
arises when you have to input your month and year of birth as part of the
your member login details: (VoiceOver reads the date where you can select
your birthday from the picker box; but not the other two fields. A sighted
person can see these fields when VoiceOver is off, and even when it's on, but
VO doesn't let even the sighted person to input the requested data. That's
how a sighted friend of mine who attempted to do it describes what's going
on. The selection can't be made with VoiceOver on. With VoiceOver off, no
problem for them to do it).

goes well when I sign into the app. The problem is when I want to complete a

I have just tried out my own login to BOI on the iPhone 5s. It did not
prompt me for each pin number at the edit point. However, it did ask for the
1st second and last just above the three edit boxes. Another inconsistent
thing arose when I entered each digit. At the first digit, the prompt asks
for one digit and gives a bump after I enter the first digit. I then had to
move the pointer to the next edit box which, again, confirmed the entry with
a bump sound. The third entry was a range of asterisks not just a single
entry cell and did not confirm the entry with a bump sound. However, being
the eternal optimist, I proceeded to the continue button where all was well
and I was logged in.
This required me to use VoiceOver very carefully to realise what was going
on. I should mention that I did this using my Bluetooth keyboard as that
gave me more accuracy in entering hidden values.
I realise that you are talking of a dialog further on after you have
concluded a transaction but I wonder if these notes are any help in that
case?

Hi all
Does anyone on the list use the bank of Ireland app on the Iphone?
I normally use it to top up my mobile phone. I get as far as putting in my
details and then it asks me to confirm my transaction with a pin number but
voiceover won't read out the digits it wants me to insert.
Anyone else experience that?
