Mairead,
Are you referring to my instructions for the VoiceOver keyboard help? If so,
you don’t seem to be looking for the right keys. I am told by the sales
people in CompuB (they specialise in Apple products) that there are four keys
along the bottom row to the left of the space bar. The second from the left
is the “Control” key and is marked with the letters “CTRL”. Then there is a
key we don’t use in the third position from the left. The “Option” key may
not have any label on it but is the one immediately to the left of the space
bar. The two keys “Control” and “Option” combine together to make the VO keys
that Apple has assigned to control VoiceOver in all its products. For the
keyboard help, you need the VO keys plus the letter “k”. This means using
your left hand to press the second key from the left together with the fourth
key from the left (immediately to the left of the space bar ) while you press
the “k” key with your right hand.
Let me know if you are still not able to find the VO keys. If you like, you
can give me a call at any of the numbers below and I would be very happy to
help you to find them.
All the best,
Cearbhall
