No, you cannot remove kmixer's volume and still have kmixer. You can set
kmixer's volume through an INF setting though.

Frank, you are right. Additional testing proved that maxing the kmixers
volume resulted in a dB change of 0.

We would prefer to have no volume control that can affect the datastream
- is there a way to tell kmixer that?
