Sorry Amber, I did not validate Pearl. However, I recently validated a book that got a good rating and I knew it deserved an excellent rating. There was a lot of slang in this book also. A relatively new validator might be shy about arguing with the automated tools, but they aren't perfect. It's up to those of us who validate to correct the validator when it tries to give a good rating to a book that is, in actuality, excellent. Just guessing about this though. I worked really hard on it, and I noticed it had a "good" rating, instead of an "excellent" rating. Does anyone know why? I always want to improve my scans and I'm baffled why this gets a "good" rating. It has a lot of dialogue but that's all I can think of. Thanks.
