Okay, deep breath taken, and I went to look. There are over FOUR HUNDRED books
on check out and only SIXTY-FOUR with holds. Roughly a third are within the
two week general time frame. I know some of mine might run longer than that
(although they are not currently), but we are talking about less than 10% of
the list in potential violation. Ironically, some say hold for new volunteer,
meaning I would think they are supposed to be easier projects.

Seriously, if anyone is worried about the 10% or less languishing, they could
work on some of the nearly 400 without timely holds. If you still don't like
anything there, ask someone to scan a title you want to see added. That is the
sort of thing I have done in the past, but I will go back to adding the books I
already own to add instead after I have fulfilled my current obligations.

Valerie, who is going back to quietly proof-reading old books
