[bksvol-discuss] Re: was Navigation what do members prefer?

Maybe that was before the tool started combining lines of like sized text. If
chapter titles are now on one line that could potentially mean title and author
get combined to same line. Not good.

I am leaving author 12pt. unless I see the other necessary.
 Valerie

Hi Sue and all,
Early on as a volunteer, I was told that book title and authorâs name was
supposed to be in 20 point bold, and hopefully selected together so that it
would appear as one daisy navigation point. Iâve been doing it this way ever
since.

  Gary,

I believe the author's name is also supposed to be in 18 point, right?

Tim

From Carrie:

Adding navigation to a book allows readers to jump to the chapters, find
sections
and parts easily, that sort of thing. The way we indicate parts, sections, and
chapters
is by the font size. The larger the font, the more important the line of text.

There's
a small section in the volunteer manual that gives some parameters:
                   4) Use these font sizes: For the:
20 point + BOLDING Book title
18 point + BOLDING Larger section headings
(such
as "Part I", or "Section 2")
16 point + BOLDING Headings for each section
in
the Front Matter, & Back Matter
16 point + BOLDING Chapter headings
14 point + BOLDING Chapter subheadings
12 point Text in the body
of
the book
