The "presence of the father" in one's life is irrelevant. Think of adoption constellations where the birth father didn't even know of the child. His soul is present and knows. Same with abortion. Even though in this plane they may have no knowledge of the child, on the soul level, they are deeply connected within the system. When these fathers are excluded, even if they made this choice, they will be represented in the system.
The child takes life from his father (and mother) with all that it entails. Their souls are very aware of each other.
