Dear Chris the emails have been most welcome and informative and interesting!
I have missed them in the last little while. We here in South Africa have
been having very similar issues. We are trying to get training started and
hopefully this will happen in 2005. Ursula franke has been a great motivating
force for us and many of the German trainers have been and continue to be
amazingly generous to us. The questions I see raised in your correspondence re
"research" is very relevant in our community as well. We have had quite a
difficult time getting the 'professionals' involved. On theother hand we have
many Non-Governmental Organisations who are hugely excited by the work, but
have no funds.....
I myself have moved in this last year from Capetown to Johannesburg and it has
been a difficult time for me. It has meant a great deal to me to have the
familiar connections with this group on my computer. So thank you everybody--A

I am just testing to see if this mailing group still works.
I was wondering if it would be helpful if I changed the name of the group to
something shorter.
Maybe bulletin boards on the website where people could add there
contributions to discussions on set discussions, would be a better option. New
discussions can be added at any time , but old discussions remain amenable. All
the relevant entries then stay together and accessible in one place. The
downside is you don't get an email to tell you when there is something new. So
I am just canvassing for interest in this option.
the final option is of course that this type of communication via the
internet no longer interests people. In that case we can simply shut down the
group. It may become relevant again at a later date
